Draft...

It's a sad day when the best PURE wrestling show on TV is TNA Impact. It's upped it's game in the last few weeks and believe it or not actually been putting together sensible booking, although it does seem to still be featuring the over 50's at least it's making sense.
WWE NXT maybe bombing in the ratings (surely to do with the idiotic tasks that they have to perform) but it's small roster (16) and alternative approach to production, announce team and longer wrestling matches have made it the only must watch show apart from Impact.
Smackdown is being cancelled in the states soon, i've not watched it for ages, it had the best wrestling but it counts for nothing if no-one watches.
RAW on the other hand is the most watched brand and most of the time it's a 2 hour long advert for KFC, PPVs or guest hosts TV show, the wrestling is formulaic and the PG rating is driving away the older audience. It maybe balancing this out with drawing in younger fans who have a lot less disposable income to purchase PPVs.

If i had'nt got my girlfriend into watching Raw on a weekly basis i probably would quit watching WWE altogether, apart from the odd PPV (I don't pay for them so what would the harm be?) instead i'd rather watch UFC and Ultimate Fighter.

Until she gets as fed up of WWE watering down their product (Rated R superstar on a PG show!) as i have i shall continue to 'find' the latest episodes and watch what passes for entertainment to Americans.

TNA needs Paul Heyman.... I need Paul Heyman. Without him to give TNA the stability and creativity it needs, the Monday Thursday night show will dissapear before the year is out.

Oh and the Draft. It was pointless. The talent appear on different shows anyway! To bring back some kind of meaning to the brands the mid card feuds need to be fleshed out on PPVs even if that means bringing back the split for PPVs. I'd love to see a PPV calibre match between Evan Bourne & anyone..... that would happen if RAW had there own shows. Sadly we keep getting the same faces on PPV every 3 weeks and people have had enough. The gimmick names and events are not working!

Example 2 PPVS, Gives the viewer 6 weeks between brand events, but also freshens up the matches.

PPV 1
John Cena vs. Sheamus
Edge vs. Batista
Triple H vs. Randy Orton
Miz vs. Jericho.

PPV 2 (3 weeks later)
Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk
Undertaker vs. Big Show
Christian vs. John Morrison.

2 shows with different cards, feuds and storylines with plenty of TV time to flesh out the matches without having to start and end a feud within 3 weeks!

Of course star power would need to be more evenly spread so it should realistically be like this.

PPV 1
Triple H vs. CM Punk
Christian vs. Jericho
Rey Mysterio vs. Miz

PPV 2
John Cena vs. Undertaker
Randy Orton vs. John Morrison
Batista vs. Sheamus

also i'd give the undercard a chance to experiment, like in the days when Edge, Christian, Hardy Boys & Dudley Boyz all midcarders were allowed to book their own matches (within reason) and get THEMSELVES over without the need of star rub.

I have the last 10 minutes of this weeks RAW to watch and NXT. then Impact tomorrow. sigh.
